Olympus is one of the most recently developed modern-day suburbs within Pretoria East. What, until recently, used to be smallholdings and plots surrounded by suburban developments such as Faerie Glen, Mooikloof and Wapadrand has fast become a hub of townhouse and estate developments added to the more established houses that were the start of Olympus. Olympus lies against the southern foothill of the Bronberg Mountain, with a selection of larger and rather impressive looking homes located against the higher part of the slope. Descending downward into the suburb is a wide selection of middle to upper class styled houses while the newer extension, stretching all the way to Atterbury Road, offers a wide selection of modern townhouses, estates and complexes. Just a short drive further east takes one through large plot areas and estates designed to maximize the surrounding rustic environment. Eventually you will find yourself amongst the surprisingly beautiful, undeveloped and undulating natural landscapes of extended Pretoria East.
