Bohemian House is a family owned and managed guest house and we are all focused on hospitality. This is our love and our passion. We all try to accommodate your every wish. Kindly ask any of the staff for assistance if it is reasonable we will do our utmost to deliver. We meet wonderful people from all walks of life. On the 11th of November 2019 it was our 16th year of having wonderful guests from all over the world. Thank you to all our loyal guests choosing us again and again

Property information

There are many guest houses but only a few where you feel the special atmosphere when you enter our doors. It is not a property that can be grasped immediately but a gradually unfolding collection of buildings and garden spaces that share tranquility that immediately calms the mind. Soak up the atmosphere of this exceptional harmony and reserve your room now. The rooms are reached through an archway from the pool square and occupy a separate building covered in a green creeper and featuring a secluded courtyard garden. The first floor rooms have a small balcony and lovely views to the Magalies Mountains in the distance. Ground floor rooms open on to the manicured garden. Breakfast is served in the dining room or on one of the many patios while you listen to birds visiting our garden for their breakfast. Once you have been to this truly one of a kind guest house you will surely return time and again! See you soon.

Neighbourhood information

Two kilometers from us you can walk in a nature reserve with Zebra s and Blouwildebeest while enjoying a bird's eye view of Pretoria. Two of the best golf clubs 1-2 km away. 500 meters from Bohemian House are 4 excellent restaurants, two coffee shops and a food shop, a hairdresser and a beauty salon. A must-see is the historical Voortrekker Monument and Freedom Park, two very opposites of our history. The Hartbeespoort dam cable car is another must-see when in Pretoria. From high up on the mountain, you will be able to see the beautiful dam and surrounds also Pretoria, Johannesburg, and Brits. While enjoying the view relax with a glass of ice-cold South African beer or wine at the bar perched on the cliff. A day tour to Pilanesberg game reserve situated in an ancient crater where the big five roam is a mere two hours away. One kilometer from Bohemian House you can go shopping in Brooklyn and Menlyn Malls. Movies,restaurants,curios,book stores,clothing stores . The climate in Pretoria is warm in summer with occasional thunderstorms and mild winters. Make Bohemian House your start or your end of your South African experience.
