Activities on the farm (upon request) include mountain trails, river walks, game drives, fishing, target shooting, clay pigeon shooting, black powder shooting, cherry liqueur tasting and a tour of the Pinedene Small Arms Museum. We have started organising trail running events on the farm so there are established routes that can be used for walking, running and hiking. Some of the routes can also be used for mountain biking. Our 140ha game camp is stocked with waterbuck, springbuck, impala, black wildebeest, zebra, blesbuck, ostriches, eland and red hartebeest. Game viewing is mainly done in a Series II Land Rover. Boschfontein Farm hosts an annual clay pigeon shooting competition and a long distance gong shooting competition, and these shooting ranges can be used at other times of the year.

Our neighbouring farm, Sandstone Heritage Estate, is a working farm. The owner collects and restores vintage steam trains, engines, military vehicles, cars, tractors and agricultural equipment. This is open to the public by appointment. They also host events during the year where visitors can go on steam train rides, helicopter rides and watch a span of Afrikaner oxen pulling an original Boer wagon. The annual cherry festival and cherry picking tours are in November. Another farm in area is home to a variety of wildlife and has a successful wild dog breeding project. They also have brown and spotted hyenas, bat-eared foxes, lions, jackal, caracals, servals and spotted gennets. Tame emus and springbuck walk freely around the house. There are two certified FEEL (Facilitated Equine Experiential Learning) Facilitators who offer interactions with horses as part of a healing process for stressed individuals.
