Welcome to Cape Town Kite Club. We are a large beach house offering solar power and battery backup to the grid for a hassle free Cape Town stay. The club operates as a lodge for kitesurfers and windsurfers in the windy season (1 November to mid March) but from mid March through end October we make the house available to be booked on a whole house basis for a variety of groups visiting Cape Town including family reunions, weddings, wedding anniversaries, visiting sports teams and similar. The only type of booking we don't want (sorry) is loud parties - so no bachelor/bucks parties, 18th/21st birthday parties or anything that might get loud or rowdy. Please do not book our house for such an event as if it happens we will terminate the booking immediately. Numbers on the property must also not exceed the number in the booking. The house features a 14/16 seater dining table (so sleep 16 and sit down to eat), a well-equipped kitchen, fast wifi, satellite TV with sports channels, separate braai (i.e. BBQ) room, games room and pool.
Your hosts are James B (the owner), Hayden (house manager) and Thelmah (cleaner). James lives overseas (when the house is available to rent) but is always contactable. Hayden lives in an annex attached to the back of the house (separate entrance, but on hand if something needs sorting out or fixing). Thelmah visits daily (Sundays and public holidays excluded) to keep the house clean.
The property is located in Big Bay which is a lovely "village" by the sea with fabulous views of Table Mountain. It is just a short stroll down the hill to the beach and just 150 yards to a mini mall with supermarket and beer/wine store (close enough to be convenient but just out of sight so you don't have to look at it!).
