Hi there from Brett and Rosi, we started with the first guesthouse 15 years ago. Today we have 3 guesthouses, Goblin’s Mead in Edgemead Cape Town, Goblin’s Inn and Goblin’s Creek at the sleepy seaside fishing village of St Helena Bay at the West Coast.
We love going to flee markets and antique shops to hunt nice items to add to the guesthouse decoration. We are also big animal lovers and we are glad that we do have lots of space at Goblin’s Creek to give our rescued animals a new home. At the moment we have chickens, ducks, 2 cats “Cameo and Akela as well as a baby Steenbokkie called Bridgette in our rescued family. Our aim is to make the stay at our guesthouses an extraordinary experience. We like to offer 5 star like accommodations to 3 star prices. If necessary, bending over backwards to make our guest happy.
Our FIRST and only house rule is MAKE YOURSELVES AT HOME
Stompneus baai is a small fishing village. Shops, restaurants, beautiful beaches and numerous tourist attractions are close by, like the West Coast and Boland win route, the golf course at Shelley Point, the famous surfing spot “pastures, hell and heaven”, the Humpback Whales and the Southern Right Whales, often in the company of dusky dolphins watching spots throughout the year or the spar at Shelley Point. Not far away is the Berg River where you will find more than 190 bird species and look out for the pink flamingos too. Another stop for bird enthusiasts is the beautiful West Coast National Park.
Although only 170 kilometers from Cape Town, Shelley Point enjoys a considerably warmer winter and a lower rainfall, making it an ideal location to visit all year round.
