Company information

Gail lives on the property and manages the guest house, her passion is to create a welcoming, warm environment that invites you to relax and feel at home. Gail loves fitness, health and good food, she is very involved in community activities and hikes the mountains most weekends. John is the owner and his passion for pottery is evident all around the guesthouse. He lives next door with his wife and two children.

Property information

Based in the home of well-known ceramic artist, John Bauer, the guesthouse is unique and tasteful space filled art and curios that John has collected over the years. You can explore John's ceramic works and purchase an unusual souvenir to remember your trip. All of the art that you see is available for sale. There is a well appointed communual kitchen you can use for light meal preparation. The rooms and house all have either wooden parquet or sprung wooden floors. Guests have exclusive use of the garden, a quiet green space with hidden ceramic works and little surprises for you to discover.

Our neighborhood is a quiet suburb of Cape Town, known for 2nd Avenues shops and restaurants. It's ideally located for getting to the center of Cape Town, UCT, Kingsbury Hospital, Cape Fertility Clinic, as well as the Southern Peninsula with Muizenburg, Kalk Bay and SimonsTown being great destinations.
