Liziwe's Guest House is a highly recommended Gugulethu Bed & Breakfast providing accommodation for locals and tourists visiting the Cape Flats region.
Liziwe’s Guest House extends a warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere to all its visitors. If you have not been to Gugulethu in Cape Town, why not visit us, and experience township life. Townships are areas that were built under the apartheid government to house black South Africans. Black people were evicted from properties that were in areas designated as "white only" and forced to move into townships. Guguletu means "Our Pride" and is one of Cape Towns' oldest townships.
Liziwe Ngcokoto is the owner of Liziwe's Guest House. Before the establishment of the house, she bought the plot, lived in a shack on the plot for five years in Guguletu, and then decided to build a house. Together with her husband, they worked towards building their home and decided to extend their home into a welcoming Guest House.
“My husband and I have come a long way, from staying in a shack on the plot and receiving a donation of bricks from Sappi Craft where my husband has been working for 25 years. He would come home and clean bricks, and today that has paid off, we have beautiful walls and a home that we decided to turn into a Guesthouse, This has been a thrilling and exciting journey for us,” says Liziwe.
This business-minded women have come a long way and now own a beautiful Guest House that is well recognized, both nationally and internationally.
