This quaint and cosy family holiday home is one of the oldest in the Mosselbay area. It is a protected piece of our national heritage in South Africa overlooking the historical town, walking distance from centre and most town attractions, like the St Blaize lighthouse as well as the beach with a beautiful sea and harbour view. Whale watching is a popular passtime in Mosselbay and can be done right from your bedroom window or whilst having breakfast on the patio. Point beach is a popular surf spot. The point has many activities and attractions to offer including mini golf, the longest 'over-sea' zip line, a prehistoric cave, St. Blaize lighthouse, restaurants and cafe's, coffee and ice cream vendors, aquarium, shops and bars, beach walkways and benches, tidal pool and jungle gym for the little ones. Feel free to contact us for tips on what to do or see in the area. Our cosy historic home has always been a place we have fond memories of as a family: laughing, playing, swimming, sharing meals and intimate moments. We trust you will enjoy this place just as much as we do! Happy holidays! Please note that there are stairs to the property. The third bedroom is a kids loft with 2 single beds accessible only via a bunk bed ladder where our teenagers usually sleep. There are 2 cots available for infants 0-2y old, just ask the hostess. I'm an internationally known stud farmer from the arid Karoo region of South-Africa, I am a simple sentimental farm girl at heart. I Love the nostalgic appeal of a place full of history, like Mosselbay. Protecting our national heritage lies close to my heart- therefore, I show, appraise, breed and judge our South African national landrace dog, the Boerboel. My husband and I aim to instill our love of nature into the lives of all of our 4 children. Always staying true adventurists at heart is one of our family's goals. If you need anything while staying at Mintakaroo on Sea, please don't hesitate to give us a ring. We do our best to accommodate guests' requests.
This property is situated on a quiet street full of historical buildings, people walking their dogs, getting some excersise or just taking relaxing strolls. It is bound to do something for the soul just being there. Combine that with beautiful 180° sea, town & harbour views and you'll never lack for something to look at. This is a very popular vacation spot, with loads of tourists and holiday makers throughout the year, a fine selection of activities and fun things to do close by.
