The Moonrise Dome site is perched on a hill with panoramic views of the Tulbagh valley and mountain ranges. Overlooking a private dam for swimming and the start of a hiking trail to a waterfall, guests can immerse themselves in the beautiful nature the farm has to offer.
As night falls, if the incredible nature sounds or flashing fireflies don’t blow you away, watching the moonlight illuminate the valley and rise from over the Witzenberg mountains will certainly provide some special memories. We highly recommend a full moon stay!
The first bedroom is a geodome with queen size bed perched on deck above the kitchen and living room space. The second bedroom is a private treehouse close to the dome, also with amazing panoramic views of the valley.
We are extremely proud to have built this site ‘’off grid’’, predominantly powered by solar for electricity, mountain water and gas geysers for instant hot water.
Children 2 and under are free. Please keep in mind, especially with young children, that this is a farm and there are wild animals such as snakes and scorpions that can live in or pass through the area. No smoking inside. Pets are welcome.
