Prince Albert’s historic Onse Rus has been welcoming guest for the past 40 years. Your hosts, Neil and Leonard would love to welcome you to the tranquil serenity of this beautiful restored mid 1800s Cape Dutch home. You will be perfectly located to enjoy all our village has to offer with the museum, galleries, tennis courts, the theatre and all restaurants within a 7 min walk from us. The beautifully appointed guest lounge provides a welcome escape from the Karoo heat on the warm summer’s days or the perfect place to cosy up with a book next to the wood burning fire.

Neighbourhood information

Surround yourself with the nothingness – The Great Karoo is in the middle of nowhere but is the heart of everything. Prins Albert is situated at the foot of the majestic Swartberg Mountain Range. Here time is suspended in the dry crisp Karoo air. It is the place of silence, vast open spaces, and a night sky so full of stars that you can almost reach out and touch them...
