Discover our home in Arniston, a secret destination only two hours from Cape Town. Pirates Landing is one of the original houses which was built as a fishing cottage for a local farmer. We purchased the house in 2006 but our family have been holidaying here for generations. The house was rebuilt in 2015 in accordance with Heritage guidelines and on the same footprint as the original home. On the outside it is a quaint thatched cottage with a stone wall.

Access to the beach is 50m walk from our gate. The beach directly in front of our home is called Nanny’s Beach as it is perfect for young children to swim and explore rock pools. A five minute walk south is Roman Beach where the waves are bigger and suitable for surfing and bodyboarding. Another swimming spot is Kassiesbaai Beach which is on the other side of Kassiesbaai fishing village. There are beautiful dune and beach walks, fishing, visits to Cape Agulhas or De Mond Nature reserve. You may never want to leave….
