Skuurtjies, built in 2006 is one of the oldest beach front houses in Kersbosstrand, Dwarskersbos. Overlooking the glorious panorama of sea and sand it is the habitat of prolific different species.
We are often visited by pods of whales, dolphins, seals and sea gulls.
It is 160km/2hours drive from Cape Town on the West Coast of South Africa.

Dwarskersbos is a quiet place, 10 minutes or so north of Velddrif, where you will find most necessities. Superspar and OK Foods, Pharmacy Doctors etc. The fishing harbour in Laaiplek is a photographer's dream. A walk down Bokkom Lane in Velddrif is always enchanting. Dwarskersbos is often used by guests as a base for exploring the West Coast;- Elandsbay, Redelinghuys, Veldrif, Laaiplek, St Helena Bay and Paternoster. Rocherpan Nature and Bird sanctuary is located mere minutes north.
A variety of restaurants/pubs/take away places are located within Velddrift/Laaiplek catering for every taste/budget further afield;- Paternoster is home to some of SA's best known Chefs - book in advance.
You need a car. A bicycle will help you getting around. The beach is perfect for cycling at low tide.
