Protea Suite is a self-catering unit and consists of 1 bedroom fitted with a queen-size bed, which has all linen and towels. The en-suite bathroom has a shower, basin, and toilet. The kitchenette contains a fridge, a stove, and a microwave. The open-plan dining room contains a sleeper couch ideal for children and opens out onto a private balcony, which overlooks the beautiful river, teeming with birdlife and frequented by buck and warthogs and the resident donkeys. The balcony has a gas braai facility, a couples table and chairs and lounging chairs and foot stools

Janine started The Aloe House in 2017 and it rapidly grew to a very popular Guesthouse in our area. Darryl is an avid chef in the kitchen and provided brilliant culinary delights. We closed during 2020 and decided to reopen the Protea Suite as a self-catering unit, which has seen us welcoming many return guests as well as new ones.

We are situated within walking distance to the most beautiful beaches where you can enjoy swimming, surfing, fishing or just lovely long walks. A short drive will take you to game reserves, golf course, many excellent restaurants, brewery and more. There is a shopping complex close by with all amenities.
