The warmer waters of Muizenberg beach, St James tidal pool and Dalebrook tidal pool at Kalk Bay offer the best swimming in Cape Town. Muizenberg is a well known surfing spot with rental options available. Kalk Bay was recently voted by Forbes magazine as one of the coolest places in the world to hang out. With homes, restaurants, art galleries, antique shops and the railway line set right along the ocean, it really is a treat. Both spots are within easy walking distance. You can walk to the beaches of St James and Muizenberg, and along to Kalk Bay, all of which have restaurants and shops. All three also have train stations to take you to Simon's Town or into Cape Town. Uber operates all around Cape Town.
