The SHACK was named after the book 'The SHACK'. It has brought a spiritual awakening to me and my family. The rooms are named after the Holy Spirit - WATER ROOM, FIRE ROOM, EARTH ROOM & AIR ROOM.

Property information

Our 4x bedroom Guest House 'the SHACK' over looks the 17 hole at VAAL DE GRACE golf estate, with a river view. Each room has a private garden, outside shower, TV and ample cupboard space. The main living area is an open plan, double volume space with a unique modern kitchen separated from the 8-seater dining area by a double-sided fireplace. The lounge has large glass facades providing clear views of the outer areas and has an additional fireplace as well as a 58 inch TV. There is a covered patio with a built-in braai and lavish seating for 8 guests. The Boma has been designed with a fire pit, for complete relaxation and star gazing. A solar heated Jacuzzi splash pool seating 8 people rounds off the outside entertainment area. Borehole water, Solar Power and gas operated geysers and stove ensure uninterrupted essentials. Activities in the area include golf (on site), fishing, bird watching, walking and adventure activities in the area. Parys is home to several restaurants and a Spa/salon for the ladies.
