Lochinvar Camp and Camp site is located in Hankunkula village outside Lochinvar National Park. It is set on the boundary line of Lochinvar National Park Lochinvar National Park is a small 450 km2 park on the Kafue floodplains found in the northern side of Kafue River in Monze–west southern province of Zambia. It is without a doubt thought to be one of the rich swamplands for birding in the world, because there are around 428 different bird species to watch - that’s almost a different bird for every square kilometre. There, you’ll locate the egret, wattle crane, sand grounce and also the pratincole among additional other bird species. From Monze town, kindly travel on the Monze - Niko/Namwala road branching off from the T1 Lusaka - Livingstone main highway road. This road is a tarmac road up to Gonhwe Village (49 km). From Gonhwe village turn off (please lookout of the Lochinvar National Park road sign), you will turn to the northwards on a gravel road passing through Gonhwe Primary School, a distance of about 16 kms. You will eventually arrive at the main gate of the Lochinvar National Park. PLEASE DO NOT ENTER INSIDE THE LOCHINVAR NATIONAL PARK. But ask for road direction to Ntandabale.
