The staff were all friendly and helpful. It's a pleasant pub downstairs and my room was very comfortable with a superbly equipped bathroom. God I'm the restaurant was very good.

First-class staff. Friendly and helpful, and the manager was so kind on my last morning. He brought down my luggage, ordered a taxi, and settled me in the lounge with coffee to await its arrival. Fine collection of beers, especially for my taste, the Westmalle Dubbel. A pleasure to drink there, because of friendly and chatty locals and visitors. I shall be back.

The pub has a wonderful, peaceful riverside location, friendly and helpful staff, lovely rooms, nice pub food and a great range of local and other draught beers. It is just a minute's walk from the town centre and has free parking nearby in the main carpark (at pub reception they give you the free parking permit to leave visible inside the car).
