Nice rooms, great shower. Very friendly people working and tasteful breakfast. Also the surroundings are quite special with the tides and the swamp.

This is central Lancaster, yet it's in a quiet spot beneath the castle, and near the bus station. There's a bar/restaurant below with great food (including smashing breakfasts and enormous pies). Everything we were looking for - we'll be back! Parking nearby in town car parks - get the RingGo app on your phone before you leave home to make it easy.

The food was absolutely amazing!

Really nicely decorated pub & staff friendly. Only stayed 1 night but room was great & shower brilliant. Free parking opposite pub. Would stay here again!

We unexpectedly got upgraded to the "lovers suite" and what a place it is, Jackie was amazing from start to finish and made the stay absolutely perfect. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough. Not one thing to complain about. 10/10. Thank you we'll be back.

A real find! Great staff, welcoming & helpful, and positively geared up for dogs too. Garstang - & the Royal Oak - were decked with Remembrance Sunday poppies - many personalised, a very moving sight. Lovely sized room, comfy bed. The evening roasts - we ate a meat, & a vegetarian - are in our top 5 ever, superb, and made even better with Robinsons ales. Same for the included breakfast - ample choice, huge portions, another memorable top-quality meal to set you up for the day. We'll be timing our trips north to be able to stay here from now on.
