it was great. very friendly staff, great, attentive and fast service. lovingly furnished rooms. Despite being close to the street there was little noise. In addition, the food in the pub - both breakfast and dinner - was really good, the atmosphere was really pleasant. our favorite accommodation in England so far

Quality and professionalism of staff. We arrived unavoidably late but restaurant and kitchens remained open for us thereby earning our eternal gratitude for rescuing what could have been a disastrous evening. Evening meal was very good for all in our small group. Wine list interesting and young Portugese wine offered most pleasant. Accommodation and environment very good. Breakfast excellent and I would certainly recommend this establishment.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. It's a pleasant pub downstairs and my room was very comfortable with a superbly equipped bathroom. God I'm the restaurant was very good.

First-class staff. Friendly and helpful, and the manager was so kind on my last morning. He brought down my luggage, ordered a taxi, and settled me in the lounge with coffee to await its arrival. Fine collection of beers, especially for my taste, the Westmalle Dubbel. A pleasure to drink there, because of friendly and chatty locals and visitors. I shall be back.
