We had a fantastic stay at this delightfully quirky pub, which also offers cozy accommodation. It's got a great mix of character and comfort – full of charm, a little ramshackle in the best possible way, but with all the mod cons you need like a reliable heater and a fridge in the room. What really stood out was the warm hospitality. The owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating – they even cooked us a meal late on a Sunday night after we got back from a local sporting event, which was well above and beyond. The pub still operates as a proper local with a casual, welcoming vibe, and there's even a small stage for live music, giving the place a laid-back creative feel. If you’re after something a bit different from your standard hotel, this is a real hidden gem.

Great location for visitors as it’s located at the start of the historic tram ride (no parking hassles/cost). There’s also a busy pub across the road for dinner, if you choose that. Helpful staff (took over that week).

It is not too far from the city. Ample activities to do with the on-site golf course, tennis, pickle ball, gym, swimming pool and lawn bowl. Townhouse is spacious. Lakeview is fantastic. Dinner at the Grove is good quality and value. Good coffee too which should be available all day, not just from lunch time. There is a spa in the master bedroom which is popular.

Award winning Restaurants with amazing choice of delicious meals and excellent service, close by, Spa bathhouse, walks, warmth, clean and easy cooking anything in kitchen, comfy bed, spa bath easily fit 2 ppl, very relaxing, ate all my meals out on the deck, snuggled up, watching and listen too the wildlife, accommodation I will definitely be returning too. Couldn't hear any traffic or the other ppl staying up stairs. Keys is access and lovely, kind staff. Thankyou for this joyful birthday, I won't forget x

The friendly, helpful greeting on arrival was lovely. The friendliness carried through when we had breakfast the next morning. Our room was cosy, the fireplace ready to light the fire. Location perfect to walk around to a gorgeous little French restaurant for dinner. All in all, a really lovely stay.

Quiet location, easy walk into town, the rooms were spacious and the heating was effective in all rooms. Very helpful host recommendations for local eateries, breakfast at Pancho was delicious as was dinner at Farmers Arms. Beautifully presented and extra touches such as the coffee station, cold water in the fridge, umbrellas, coat stand at entry, extra keys and speaker in living room were all appreciated.
