My room right on the water was dreamy, with the sound of the waves lapping the shore in the morning. It was raining my entire stay, so I was glad to at least have been able to be so close to the water and see some natural beauty. The meal at the auberge restaurant was also a delight. Lots of fresh locally sourced ingredients, and cooked to perfection. I savored every bite. Props to the chef. This place was a surprise gem. I really thought I'd be staying in the usual 3-star Quebecois auberge, but this was next level and yet the price is so reasonable.

This Rivière-du-Loup hotel is minutes from the Rivière-du-Loup Golf Course and Musée du Bas-Saint-Laurent, a contemporary art and ethnology museum. Although the room was small, it had everything we needed for travel, including fridge, desk chair, lots of outlets, good lighting, towels, bed was comfortable, and good shower. The breakfast was excellent.
