The little Bernese Oberland village of Habkern lies in in a wind-protected and fog-free valley, off the beaten tourist track. Everything! The proprietors, our room, the food, Gary the hostess (fantastic!!), the church bells and the views of the Alps were all incredible! The bakery, grocery store across the street was fabulous when opened. It was not opened everyday. This was a true swiss Alps village away from the city and on a vast beautiful mountain range with cows, and horses and beautiful chalets and the people! It was about 20 minutes down a windy road into Interlarken. Perfect location. We had a car but used the bus pass that the hotel gave us which was extremely helpful. We give this place a 15 out of 10 stars. It was just perfect in every way for a small village. Highly recommended

With the travel card provided by the hotel, you can use local transportation for free. We enjoyed the fresh air on our beautiful balcony with mountain views. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They were like part of our family. They tried to help us with everything. The breakfast was quite sufficient and delicious. The bread and croissants were fresh and very tasty. If I come here again, I will definitely choose this hotel. Everything was perfect.

Really I have nothing to complain about!
