The rooms are quite large and comfy. We were welcomed with cookies and there was tea and coffee in the room. The shower and bath were so nice, quite modern and super clean. We checked in after exploring the little towns around Stonehenge and decided to stay in for dinner. We were silly and didn’t make a reservation, but they were kind enough to accommodate us. Make sure to book your table! We all had delicious pizzas, sides and wine, the most perfect ending to a day of exploring and getting lots of steps in! We were served by the most loveliest staff. Lisa, Amy and - apologies as I didn’t ask for her name- a dark haired lady were always professional, fun and friendly. Lisa took the time to explain to us how to get to Stonehenge easily. We only stayed for one night and left early to walk to Stonehenge, but took advantage of the breakfast and it was absolutely gorgeous. So many delicious options! What a great hotel! Very impressed with the facilities, staff and great food. If you had any doubts about booking, this is your sign to go ahead and confirm it. It will exceed your expectations as it did mine!

I liked the option to have a cooked breakfast and the breakfast room was very comfortable. The room was very clean and had a lovely bath. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had dinner at the Old Mill on the first night - a one minute walk from the guest house. The area is very picturesque. I really enjoyed the information folder and my daughters enjoyed learning more about Salisbury. This felt like the management cares about this guests' experience and are proud to promote their local area.
We absolutely loved our one night stay in this historic inn - a bonus was the beautiful weather and lovely garden. Lacock is a beautiful village oozing with history and as a bonus if you are a Harry Potter fan there is plenty to see as well. We had a lovely evening having drinks in the garden, accompanied by a yummy dinner. To have an opportunity to stay in a historic building such as this one, that still had exposed beams and the layout of older times was truly something special.
Quirkiness of staying at an historic inn that provided all we required to a high standard
We enjoyed every minute of this Comfortable historic inn
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The 16th century old tavern was very homely and comfortable. Free parking. Both dinner and breakfast were very tasty and of good size. Both waitresses were very efficient and helpful.
historic inn very near the town centre.
