The breakfast and dinner buffet were amazing with excellent variety to please everyone. Location was beautiful with great views of the river and bridges.
Wonderful traditional japanese inn with tatami rooms and large furo bath. Quiet neighbourhood. Serves japanese breakfasts & dinners also.
The public onsen was beautiful and so clean and nice. The free ice cream, breakfast and dinner noodles were also really enjoyable.
As known, the alpine route can be done in one day. But this hotel is an excellent option for those who want to do things in a more relaxed way and stay the night in the mountains. The hotel has a simple-looking but nice attitude bathhouse. Dinner was excellent! The waiters and reception staff were simply wonderful and patient and gave us excellent service
The room was spacious and I had a great view. The all-you-can-eat dinner and breakfast had a great selection. The hotel had a lovely onsen, which you can tell has been newly renovated. I can especially recommend the outdoor section of the onsen. However, please be aware that you cannot enter the onsen if you have tattoos. They do have a private family onsen that you can rent for 1 hour for 1000 yen. I really recommend this, if you for whatever reason cannot use the large onsen.
Breakfast and Dinner buffet included are delicious, though the variety is limited. Comfortable onsen facilities. Complimentary games, Karaoke and night snacks are provided. Staffs are friendly.
Guest House Takazuri-KITA is located on a hill, across the river, overlooking the mountains and the village below. It is an amazing view. So serene! We felt very comfortable and welcomed at the gueshthouse and sat and read in the living room, had a few craft beers and sake, had a wonderful dinner (husband ordered the bear which was caught by the owner's friend, and he got some because he carried it back!) and breakfast! Their 3-year-old son is boisterous and friendly. Highly recommend staying here.
Very beautiful rustic aesthetic original gassho-zukuri house in a stunning and quiet world heritage listed area. Food was amazing, local, varied and big portions. Eaten around the fire hearth. So glad I didn’t stay in Shirakawa-go! Warm and hospitable family run guest house were nothing was a problem. Deep self heating bath and modern toilets completed the dream stay. Highly recommend - it was the highlight of a fabulous trip to Japan. I hope to return!
