The guesthouse is surrounded by forest, and although a road runs nearby, it is not visible from the windows, creating a sense of peace and tranquillity. The rooms are not large, but very clean. Clean bathroom and bedding. Comfortable, large beds. A balcony with a table, chairs, and flowers. A common dining room with tables, table football, and a fireplace. Elevator. There are no dining options nearby without driving, which might be an issue for some. Personally, I didn’t mind the lack of a restaurant on-site.

Amazing, kind, hardworking staff. Excellent homemade ice cream! Path directly above the inn to Bled Castle. Wonderful restaurants, pastry shop, and the lake, just a few steps from property. Loved our time at the Old Parish House!

The apartment was furnished to a high standard and was very comfortable. Our host was super responsive and helped us with some excellent recommendations on local activities. The games barn is a triumph - a really brilliant conversion and proved a great hit with our family and everyone else that was staying there. We loved all the handmade furniture and innovative design. Lovely big garden was good too and you can easily hike/run/cycle straight from the door.

Hotel Kompas is in a great location. Perfect for walking and close to the bus stop. Breakfast and dinner were both plentiful and delicious with lots of choice. It was good to have a swimming pool and a jacuzzi to relax in after a day's walking in the mountains. We enjoyed our stay

The breakfast is excellent. Quality of the food is way above what you would commonly find in hotels. Special mention for fresh eggs. Having dinner in the hotel is highly recommended. The pension is only a small walk from the water for a swim

After a long drive to reach the location from Home, we found here a peaceful and quiet place to rest and enjoy our first night in Slovenia. People were nice and welcoming. We decided to have dinner at the guest house and that was a good decision too. The menue was set but very good.

Stay on the top of a mountain in a rustic cabin and experience family food and hospitality at its best! So pleased we chose to stay here. It’s not fancy but the views and the amazing home-cooked food we will remember forever. Be sure to eat breakfast and dinner in the family restaurant attached to their house.
