Our hotel is located on the edge of the Teutoburg Forest, in the heart of the town of Bad Laer, close to the spa gardens.

This newly established hotel, built as an annexe to a 200-year-old timber-framed house. Some rooms are air conditioned. The hotel appears to focus on delivering good value. Policies & procedures are quite "common sense" while the "goal" seems to be providing guests with a good deal. This shouldn't be remarkable, but it is. Breakfast pricing is an "invitation" not an opportunistic rip-off. There is a mini-bar - but this seems to be a convenience, not a bottom-line-padding attempt to "trap" guests who do not feel confident going to the store. It was also simply a lovely room with great facilities, well-spoken and welcoming staff, and comfortable beds - the usual compliments available to hotels. My expectations have been raised. Storck has rather set a new standard.

Rooms are also clean and furnished. It worth the costs. The stuff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the highlight for me. A big variety of tasty local dishes. If you want, they cook eggs on demand.

We booked the place mainly because of the beautiful location, but the hospitality of the hotel and the staff, lovely room and delicious breakfast made our weekend.
