This was a shot in the dark booking since I couldn’t find a place near the beach that was tattoo friendly. We were blown away at the facility, amenities and overall beauty of the location. I booked 3 rooms. Everyone had their own private onsen bath. My husband and I upgraded to the sauna barrel room and we LOVED IT. The guys all did sauna in the morning. They even give you handmade authentic sauna hats. Breakfast was simple but filling. Half of the group did the Japanese style, half did American. My jumbo toast made me feel like I was in a Ghibli movie having breakfast. There is a vending machine in the breakfast area was a variety of snacks and drinks. Our van made it on the roads to the property. So a standard vehicle will have no issue. Beautiful creak flowing in the backyard of every room. Every room has an entrance, toilet & sink room, living room (doubles as bedroom bc you have tatami beds), vanity sink & rack, THEN sliding door to your shower & bath, THEN sliding door to your porch with seating. Our room had the barrel immediately to the left of the porch with ANOTHER outdoor tub. Price was excellent!!

The old lady who served us was very kind and nice. This is the best onsen hotel that we had in our 2 weeks Japan trip. Thank you!

The hosts took care of us and met us at the station and also gave us a lift on the way back. They do not speak English but communicate via google translator so this is not an issue. The property looks very unusual, feels like in a fairy tale) there is a private onsen available which we did not use as it was too hot (we were in summer). There is also the possibility to take onsen in the room so we utilised it as a foot onsen which was really appreciated after hikes along the Yogasaki coast. The train station is within 20 mins walk and one can use it to explore the Izu peninsula coast. We had a sea view from our room.

Situé à Shimoda, à seulement 2 minutes à pied de la plage de Shirahama, le Beach Side Inn Shirahama propose un hébergement confortable doté de parquet et d'un mobilier chaleureux. Very nice place near the Shirahama beach : the room was simple but with all needed and its private bathroom. The 2 outside private onsen are very nice ! We could not surf as there was no wave but you can park your car and use the outside shower until 14:00 after check-out, perfect for a morning session on the last day. Also, the breakfast was delicious (fruit juice, yoghourt, boiled egg and a very good sandwich) : you can have it on the go or eat it in the dining room !

L’établissement Torinami Fuji View House se trouve à Fujinomiya, à respectivement 41 km et 43 km de ces lieux d’intérêt : Lac Kawaguchi et Parc d'attractions Fuji-Q Highland. The property is away from the noisy town, with a lot of nature around. The owners are awesome and really chill, Hana picked us up at the train station and even offered us to take us to the supermarket before going to the house. The house is extra clean, well equipped and super comfy, you could see Fuji from the window. The e-bikes were a must, it let us move around on our own and get to know a lot of fujinomiya, we even crossed paths with wild Tunakis. We definitely had a great time
