You feel welcomed the moment you enter the gate. They have created such cozy spaces for guests and the provide great amenities like coffee and tea, toast and other small breakfast items. I appreciated the small fridge in the room, pressure in the shower and how quiet it was at night. I also walked to town and it was easy and fun. There’s a lot to do in this part of the world! Furneaux Lodge is located in Endeavour Inlet and has a garden and shared lounge. This resort offers a concierge service and luggage storage space. The property features a restaurant. Peaceful and very nice place in paradise.

Outstanding friendly staff, they make you feel like home, and they make an incredible good pizza (we had the chicken plum - highly recommend) The place is really magical, you stay at the Fjord and can discover it kayaking, hiking or biking. If you're lucky you can see bioluminescent plankton glowing in the sea at night, beautiful stars and glow worms. You can watch the sunrise from the hot tup. It's a place to enjoy! You should stay there at least 2 days. The only thing we didn't like was that we didn't stay longer ;) If there would be an 11. Star, they would have earned it! ... And there is a chimney burning all day ... We had breakfast in front of it :)

Upon hearing about the prospect of staying at Lochmara Lodge upon arrival at Picton from North Island, we jumped at the opportunity. Definitely no regrets, as although the lodge is not high end, everything else makes up for it. This was one of our top highlight stays across 5 weeks in New Zealand! We felt so welcomed by staff, before and during our stay! Prior to booking, all questions, including transport via water taxi, were quickly and diligently answered. Upon arrival at the water taxi, we were warmly greeted and helped by staff to ensure a swift check-in ahead of schedule, and the same was experienced upon arrival. The place is set deep in the Marlborough Sounds, and it offered the most amazing scenery and nature all around. It was breathtaking, especially as the sun set and first thing in the morning. The fact that it cannot be reached by car made it extra special and unique. We had two rooms, one water facing and one facing the back-end (this room was perhaps a bit sad). The room was small, quite simple but we did not spend much time inside, as there was so much else to do! We loved the chill and vibe of the place, and the level of activities available to us during our stay. We did hiking, the feeding time activities with the pigs, goats, birds etc on site (we loved the insight provided with all), kayaking, paddle boarding, the games and general relaxation. We also visited the underwater observatory - which was super interesting - and great interaction and insight into the creatures of the New Zealand waters. The restaurant offered an all-day service, including breakfast and dinner for us overnight house guests. The staff was always friendly and welcoming, and the food and drinks were of a high quality. I think we could have easily done a third night at this place, and it provided such a great introduction to what more to come during our time on the South Island.

They provided homemade bread and fresh eggs from their chickens as well as honey that Max had made.. The view from the balcony was beautiful over the town of Picton and the Queen Charlotte sound. The apartment was big and comfortable, modern and well equipped. A great experience because of their warmth and hospitality.

Just a 3-minute drive from the heart of Picton, Tasman Holiday Parks Picton boasts a heated outdoor pool in the summer months, and a hot tub. I love how clean it is. I also love the heated floor in the bathroom.

Tombstone Motel, Lodge & Backpackers features elevated views of Picton Harbour and the surrounding mountains. We had a short stay here but the tombstone motel was amazing. Great location and amenities. I would highly recommend.
