This hotel is situated back from the hustle and bustle of the main street just down a lane, nestled between a stunning lagoon and mountains. We stayed in the tiny house with a lovely loft and had an amazing experience! The staff are all generous and welcoming, plus we got to know the beautiful golden retriever (Ginger) who lives at the property. The atmosphere is very relaxing and cosy! Breakfast was great, and there are cocktails and other drinks available in the evenings. There is also bike hire for a quick 5 min cycle into the main town or about a 30 minute walk. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough for a tranquil stay that felt as if we were in the mountains while still being very close to Cat Ba town.

Absolutely lovely homestay with excellent, friendly hosts. This is such a relaxing, sweet place to be and we wish we had more time to enjoy. They have a restaurant onsite with lots of food options as well as a great bar/restaurant across the street with more options. The hosts truly care about their guests and helped us with some transportation hiccups which was over and above. A+++ for this homestay! Great value!

We stayed at Cat Ba Wistaria for a few nights and honestly loved the whole vibe. It’s got all the modern stuff you’d hope for — a sleek room, solid Wi-Fi, rooftop jacuzzi, and even a small gym that actually works — but still feels really connected to the local side of Cat Ba. As a couple from Saigon, we’re a bit picky about comfort, but this place totally delivered. Super clean, comfy bed, and friendly staff who gave us real local tips instead of touristy ones. They pointed us to this tiny family-run spot down an alley for the best Canh Ca Thu we’ve ever had — absolute gem. The location couldn’t be better: walkable to the beach, night food street, and all the little shops. There’s not much dining inside the hotel, but with everything nearby, it’s not a big deal. Feels modern but still has that Cat Ba charm.

So friendly, so helpful, so kind. Location was perfect in Cat Ba town. All the stores and restaurants you need are right around you, and you are a short walk from the canon fort and also to the beaches. It’s also a short journey to the main access point to the bay and the islands. The apartment was fantastic. It is a new establishment, but everything is well put together. This didn’t bother us, but be aware that we ended up having to provide our own soap and shampoo. Not a big deal at all to our family, but I know some people care. That said, these apartments are worth much more than the price and I doubt you can find a better deal in town.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was really handy for getting around and the housekeeping team kindly dried out clothes for us when they wouldn't dry in our room.

Sea Pearl Cat Ba Hotel is located in front of Lan Ha Bay, a 5-minute walk from Cat Co Beach. It features a swimming pool and bar on the rooftop, as well as 2 dining options. Coffee was too strong with breakfast.

I honestly do not understand the current evaluation this amazing hotel has in Booking, it should be a 10. The service was incredible, Mai was so accommodating and supported us with everything. The SPA is excellent, we had amazing massages with the most incredible view ever. The rooms have a lot of space, we took the ocean view one and honestly, the views are AMAZING, I 100% recommend choosing this room. The pools are gorgeous and very clean, the karaoke is super fun, and the food of the restaurant is definitely good. Please consider you are staying at a Resort before saying that the prices are higher than in the town restaurants, this is obvious and does not reflect the value offered by the team. By the way, they have the BEST PHO I tried in Vietnam. I read some comments regarding the English level of the employees, it is true that is not incredibly high; however, being kind and patient can take you a loooong way, they are so kind and willing to help, and honestly, you can always use Google Translate.
