We had an excellent view from our room of the fortress. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very bright and spacious with a comfortable bed! Parking was nearby (at a small cost). Breakfast was included and delicious! Walking distance to restaurants and other tourist sites.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in! People who make this place happen know that everything is in details. The hotel has lovely patio with a small fountain. Our room was perfect, had everything we needed. Beautiful bedroom with large super comfortable bed, big windows, curtains and climate smart control. Separate living room with skylight and sofa, TV and coffee machine, complimentary wine, water and snacks. The bathroom is superior! Big bath tub situated near the window, smart pampering shower, dimmable lighting and japanese toilet. Grohe accessories and everything that's needed for a luxurious experience: thick white towels, malin+goetz hair and body products, a real hair dryer and all the right elements for maximum relaxation. The staff is genuinely polite and friendly and helpful. The breakfast is served at any time you prefer and prepared by demand: fresh croissants and eggs, fruits and chocolate fondant with chef made ice cream. We liked the food so much we had two dinners and really enjoyed modern and sophisticated mix of ingredients and textures that combined to delicious meals. This place truly provides holistic boutique experience.

Amazing design, great views, attention to detail, helpful and very nice staff and of course Yevgen the hotel owner was of great help and interesting conversation 😁. Delicious curated breakfast: sourdough breads, croissants, sometimes banitsa, chia pudding, overnight oats, smoked salmon, local cheeses and cold cuts, fruit, boiled eggs, vegetables, you can order coffee with almond milk if you like. Top notch service. The staff helped us with the parking in front of the hotel. Suggested to help us with dinner reservations and got us reservations for the Tsarevets light and sound show (which was gorgeous), you could borrow cool umbrellas, which was very needed as it was raining occasionally but a bit heavy. We had a coffee machine in the room(no tea though) and in the breakfast room, you could make a coffee/tea any time you wanted and chill in the lounge/breakfast areas. Very comfortable bed, room was spacious, lux "waterfall" shower. All in all, one of the nicest hotels i have ever stayed in, and would definitely come back here next time i'm in Veliko ternovo. Recommend it to all!

    Very large impressive site situated sprawling across the...

    Very large impressive site situated sprawling across the hillside, limited facilities inside one drinks machine so take plenty to drink as its hot and dry and a lot of walking to get upto the chapel on the top. Worth it for the amazing murals covering the walls and ceiling. I couldn't walk around the rest of the site too much for me and apart form the chapel I'd probably have been just as well to take photos from the bottom.

    Clean, well equipped apt. The host kindly arranged a garage for our car as parking near the hotel was quite problematic. It is a good place for a short stop and not bad for tourism. It is located at walking distance 15 min. to the center and 40 min to Tsarevets fortress remains. Most of the road is more or less flat not like many offered apts. located high of the hills.

    Unfortunately, we only stayed one night in this wonderful place. The hotel is perfectly located, just a 2-minute walk from Tsarevets Fortress and no more than 10 minutes to the city center. It’s an excellent choice for tourists interested in history, nightlife, or simply enjoying long walks through the charming streets and cozy restaurants. The room was spacious, the bathroom large and modern, and the rooftop terrace offers a breathtaking view over the city. I’ll definitely come back to this hotel, and hopefully very soon!

    We truly enjoyed our three-night stay — everything was wonderful! Last night, we even caught a glimpse of the light show at the Tsarevets Fortress from the balcony, which was such a nice surprise. The apartment was beautifully arranged and incredibly comfortable — you’ve thought of so many thoughtful little details that my friends especially appreciated. Thank you again for everything, especially for helping us arrange the taxi. It made our departure so much easier. We’re really grateful for your hospitality!

    Hotel Kiev is very centrally located. Our room was very clean and had a direct view of Tsarevets Fortress. The hotel owner, Eva, was especially friendly, helpful, and a wonderful host. She answered all our questions and gave us excellent directions. When I mentioned that I wanted to buy wine, she even took me to two different places to buy it. In short, the hotel and its staff absolutely deserve a five stars/10 points. I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Kiev to everyone.

    Cosy, very tastefully renovated apartment with views of Tsarevets Fortress and across the city. This property had the most character of any we have ever stayed in - great interiors! Beds were comfortable and kitchen well-stocked. There is a great sectioned-off shower in the bathroom, which we have not often found in Bulgaria. Our host was friendly and communicative, and sent us information about the city and recommended restaurants. Having the use of the (extremely quiet!) washing machine meant a lot to us on our tour of Bulgaria.

    The apartment block has ample roadside parking which is free of charge. The apartment block is located a little further away from the Old Town than some other accommodation but is therefore much closer to Tsarevets Fortress. There are many eateries immediatley local and the main town is only a 15 minute walk. The room was clean and the most modern of all our accommodation in Bulgaria. Access to the property was easy with staff contactable by phone before we arrived.

    The owner is a very positive and kind person! She helped us and gave us tips on where to go. Very cozy apartment with a wonderful view from the window to the Tsarevets fortress and the mountains. There is a coffee machine and a kettle, you can drink coffee with a beautiful view! The shower cabin is separated from the toilet, which is rare in Bulgaria. Very nicely decorated interior. The house is located a minute walk from a shop, a bar and a good coffee shop
