Wasserturm
Built in 1886 as a drinking-water reservoir for Mannheim’s townspeople, this 60-metre structure has since become the de facto meeting place for modern-day locals. It’s not your ordinary water tank though. The Wasserturm’s ornate Romanesque-style construction is surrounded by immaculate lawns and dancing fountains that make it a popular picnic and chill-out area.

They tried to help us with every little thing. Even days after returning, I was called to make sure everything was satisfactory. Fitness room was pretty good, quiet, and free. Lovely staff and they held my bags for free while I explored after checkout because my train was in the evening. The restaurant was INCREDIBLY GOOD. Best steak and roast potatoes ever.
