This was a fabulous hotel. Unique decorating made it ‘boutique’ rather than the chain hotels. Spacious rooms that were very quiet. The beds were very comfortable and it was very, very clean. The breakfast was served in another unique space and the woman who looked after it was helpful. A good selection with the fruit really memorable. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We had a really lovely stay here.

Albaicin

Can you count the shells? This 16th-century palace is covered in the things. It was built by Don Rodrigo Arias de Maldonado, a knight of the Order of Santiago de Compostela. The symbol of this order is the seashell, and he decided that it’d be rather splendid to have them all over his palace. The result is the magnificent Casa de Conchas, a seashell-studded marvel.

We had a short guided walk about after a fab flamenco show Its very busy and full of tourists. Lots of narrow cobbled streets and car dodging. Itvwas 1045 pm and we were just marched around. Nice view of floodlit Alhambra Not a place we’d bother walking round again but the history is interesting

Head up to the Mirador de San Nicolas for 'the view' - the iconic nighttime shot of Alhambra. Get there about 30 mins before sunset, there are cafes, musicians, and hoards of people waiting to get the click but it's great fun.

Wonderful experience and wonderful views. It is up quite a steep hill. We went on foot but you can also catch one of the small red buses, certainly C32 - I think that there is another one as well. Head for St Nicholas square and you will see a view to die for!

Enjoyed exploring the maze of alleys, got lost a few times but that's ok. We acquired several street maps, the best for us was the one given to us by the tourist office. Good views from Pl.Carvajales and Pl.S.Nicolas.

Whether you're inside Alhambra, or looking at it from the outside; it is awe inspiring. Some of the best views of the Alhambra are from the Albaicin neighbourhood. And while the Mirador San Nicholas is the more popular places, head up further to Mirador San Miguel. Admittedly, it is a bit of a climb. But the climb is completely worth it. Don't forget to soak in the beauty of the neighbourhood as you're walking though. It is as beautiful

The Albaicin, or more correctly Albayzin, is the old muslim part of the town. Very atmospheric is however a place to be avoided after sunset, especially by women. At anytime stay away from the area around Mirador San Nicolas, where pickpockets abound.

The hotel is an easy walk from the railway station in a quiet street and a short block from a cafe, bakery and small Carrefour Express and other small shops and some stunning churches. It's an easy walk to buses C32 to the Alhambra and C31 to Albaicin or to the Cathedral and surrounding shops. My room was comfortable and the aircon worked well in mid 30s heat. I enjoyed the outdoor area. The staff were friendly and helpful.

It was a perfect apartment for our family of six and we loved the roof terrace with incredible views. We also appreciated the air conditioning! The Albaicín neighbourhood is very friendly, pretty and we enjoyed walking around the characterful cobbled streets. Our host Estela was super communicative with amazing recommendations for walks, places to eat, flamenco night, paella and also super friendly and warm person. Thank you!

Staff very friendly, AC efficient, coffee machine provided and very easy walk to Plaza Nueva where taxis and buses for Alhambra leave . Multiple food choices very close by.
