Staying at Astoria Playa Hotel absolutely exceeded our expectations, it was simply fantastic. Let me give some details: First, the food: breakfast and dinner were absolutely amazing: huge variety of choice, even if you are vegetarian/vegan. Quality was generally fantastic. There were always a lot of seafood, veggies, sides, desserts, fresh fruits, cheese (chocolate fondu) and a great selection of tiny prepared dishes, also there was a typical mallorquin part. Their astoria egg in a bum is just the best breakfast choice :) Big selection of coffee, tea and hot chocolate, all kinds of milks.. Staff was very kind, attentive and smiling: special thanks goes to Joan Miguel for caring for us so nicely, always having a kind word to us, giving us tips about where to go, where to eat and advising us to book a car through the hotel: I've never experienced such a smooth renting process: the hotel staff booked the car for us and next day the company delivered the car to the hotel, the staff waiting for us in the lobby with the contract (we even did a slight change in the rental period that they kindly solved immediately). Thanks also goes to (the other) Miguel for his great humour and help and kudos to the kitchen staff and waiters for being so nice, polite, quick and kind. Rooms was bacis but nice, with nice balcony, bed comfortable, storage was sufficient for us also. Hotel provided towels for the pool and beach. Beach is 5 minutes and one of the most beautiful in Europe, what you can dream of: white sandy beach with crystal clear water, shells and a stunning mountain view. Hotel was in a holiday area, full of tiny "supermarkets", hotels, restaurants, car and bike rentals. It is around 40min walk to Alcudia (but you can bike or take a bus also). Hotel is easily reachable from Palma by a direct bus that has a stop some minutes from the hotel. Let us also mention this hotel is a biker-friendly one with lots of biking groups as guests.

One of the best hotels I have visited with excellent service, cuisine, accommodation and spa, in walking distance to the beach, dunes and forest, the historical town of Alcudia, a natural reserve and a small mountain. An excellent massage service would render you stay even better. A taxi takes you to the hotel from the airport in less then an hour crossing the picturesque Mallorcan landscape.

Everything. The design and aesthetic is beautiful. The location is great, soundproofing very impressive, staff super friendly, air con great, luxurious toiletries. Love the idea of the honesty bar and the mini book share. The pool areas are beautiful, free tea and coffee is a great idea. Glass of cava to welcome us was fantastic. Breakfast very tasty with eggs cooked to order or pancakes. Would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to friends or family. Even had non-white towels available in the bathroom, great for avoiding disasters!

The hotel itself was wonderful, in good shape, clean, modern and comfortable! The staff were so helpful and welcoming to us during the entirety of our stay! The rooms were very nice, and were cleaned to a great standard every day. Shower pressure was excellent. The pool area was great for days when you didn’t want to go to the beach, with comfortable sun beds.

Alcudia Old Town

In the 16th century, the walls of Alcúdia were built to deter pillaging pirates, thus preserving the medieval town centre. Start at the imperious Porta del Moll gateway and ramble along the ramparts for wondrous views across the rooftops and Alcúdia Bay. Then, swing by the Sant Jaume Church and admire its neo-Gothic façade over coffee on the main square.

    Definitely worth visiting!

Definitely worth visiting! We shopped there (great prices compared to other areas we were) and great dining choices. The Sunday market was fantastic and we did more shopping on our way to Port de Soller. Parking can fill up quickly even in September.

Great cleaning staff, with all the sand we were getting back from the beach, it was really enjoyable to see our room cleaned carefully everyday. Great staff at the restaurant and bar and also at the reception always smiling and caring ! Great accomodations and services, everything is well thought thru until the departure of the clients. We also enjoyed the proximity of the beach and of the supermarket, even the bus station is not far to reach Alcudia old town. We will recommend the hotel for sure !

Facilities as shown in photos and we were very happy with the Villa and In particular with the location. Very convenient to the lovely beach and to local shops for gifts and supplies and also many restaurants. The owner was very responsive to a problem we had in the bathroom and this was resolved quickly. Lovely location for a family holiday. East access to buses for Palma, Alcudia old town and Pollensa town and Port Pollensa

Perfect location right at the beach. Rooms are nice and clean with comfortable beds and proper airco. Beaches are beautiful, the location is a bit outside of Port d’Alcudia which we liked to stay away from the busiest touristic areas. Personell is very friendly and we got some good recommendations on nice restaurants to eat in Alcudia old town. A great stay and totally recommended.

We were very pleased with the duplex accommodation - two good bedrooms, balcony, terrace, living space etc., lovely sea view and pine woods behind. The apartment was quiet yet quite close to the pools and breakfast restaurant. The buffet breakfast was very varied. The hotel is close to Alcudia Old Town and the Roman ruins, well worth visiting.
