Nice to see but 30 euro is really too much for seing a few stones. Not much left of this area, like most temples of ancient Greece. We were a bit dissapointed. Greeks build an immage on the old history. A lot more labour of reconstruction could be done by escavating areas and putting the pieces together to look more like the original. Ancient wonder. It was a beautiful day when we visited the Acropolis. Majestic structure against blue skies. Tough parts of the monument is under renovation, the pathway for tourists was very well marked. Athens is a wonderful city to visit & explore… however, beware of Rogue Taxi 🚖 drivers! If they don’t display their photo/licence walk away! Even if they put on the “meter” it’s best to ask for a price and not accept an astronomical cost on arrival !🥺 The fare from Airport to Athens is around 50€ NOT 120€ which we were charged by 1 bandit in August! Go before sunset to the 6-7.30pm time slot and watch the sun go down. September is the perfect month. Wear non slip shoes. You can buy e-tickets at the bottom. If you travel on the train, take the Acropolis station. Shorter walk from there. Take water with you. Take lots of photos. This attraction is one of our world’s wonders not to be missed!! I arrived at the Acropolis around 8:10 AM and there were only around 20 people on the whole compound. It was wonderful! Consider visiting Athens in May or September. May is just lovely. Spring flowers like poppies and daisies cover the hills. It's not too busy and not too hot. Remember that on holidays you are always moving so consider the weather when you make your plans.
