We appreciated that this beautiful former Tuscan monastery was convenient to Sienna, but was peaceful and quiet and surrounded by beautiful open space. We enjoyed roaming the grounds with its numerous outdoor seating, walking and lounging areas, as well as the outdoor saltwater pool and attached lounge area. The interior spaces are elegant but comfortable and inviting. We were upgraded to a junior suite which we jokingly referred to as the "Cinderella suite" as we had to climb approx. 65 steps to get to our rooms, but we couldn't complain as it was comfortable and had everything we needed (excluding large windows as it seemed as if the suite was originally attic space), with a sitting room, walk in closet, and large sleeping room and bathroom. The breakfast buffet had a large selection of both hot and cold, savory and sweet items, with fresh coffee and tea made to order, and seating options provided both indoors and outdoors. The numerous staff were helpful, friendly and polite, and were quick to check to see if we needed anything. We were even provided a tour of the attached church by the caretaker :) with translation provided by one of the wonderful ladies that work at the front desk. What an amazing adventure!

Fantastic old monastery near Siena. The courtyard and gardens are beautiful. The staff prepared a special vegan breakfast every day, despite offering a very extensive and high-quality buffet already.

    The accommodation has a very good location — just a few minutes’ walk from the main square with Torre del Mangia and other attractions. It was very easy to explore Siena on foot, and there is also a bus stop nearby. Housekeeping was done during our stay, which we appreciated. The room also had a small kitchenette that was useful for some basic needs. There was also a hairdryer available, which was convenient.

    Great location just off Piazza del Campo but still very quiet as on the third floor. Nice views of the Torre del Mangia and the cathedral dome from the balcony. Managers were helpful when I had problems getting the front door open and when there was a problem with a window.
