Words cannot fully describe how amazing the stay was. The room was absolutely amazing and spacious, the view from the balcony and private onsen was breathtaking, the staff were so friendly, kind and attentive, the meals were soooo delicious and beautifully presented. This truly felt like a living dream. I hope to comeback again! This experience was magical and well worth it. 1000% awesome and relaxing!

I just booked this place last minute for one night. I was super super pleased with my stay there with dinner and breakfast included along with Onsens. I really didn't expect ny of this, and this place is something I would highly recommend. For the money you pay, and the facilities you get is just crazy.

The hotel staffs were friendly and very helpful, and the facialities were great such as there is a free shuttle bus service to go to town center. The buffet for both breakfast and dinner were good and enough choices to select from. I really loved the hot-spring here.

We are very happy that we were able to visit this place! We thank the host and everyone who made our stay here very comfortable. Importantly, the owner speaks English very well. The room is spacious and comfortable, has everything you need. We really enjoyed sleeping on the futon! Yukata and haori are wonderful. And it is impossible not to note the presence in the room of a Nintendo console with rare games: Mario, Zelda and others. 3 private onsen with different water temperatures. They are available to guests 24 hours and without restrictions. It is very convenient that you can watch online whether onsen is busy or not. This is a small thing, but it makes so comfortable to visit the hot springs, you do not need to go down from the room and check whether it is occupied or not. Well thought out! The common area is also wonderful. Here you can drink tea/coffee/water after visiting onsen. Use a massage chair, play games, read manga. Well, breakfast! Mmmmm, how delicious everything was! We also had a few requests for food, since we do not eat some products and the host replaced some items in the breakfast so that everything would suit us. Thanks for this care, it was so nice. This is a truly amazing experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Every time we remember living here with warmth and delight. We really hope to come here again someday.

Walk around Yubatake.

Walk around Yubatake. The lower portion of it there is a waterfall. Make sure to walk it at night if you are not to tired. We were tired, but we walked around it at night and we are glad we did. The light reflecting off of it makes it so beautiful!

Nice unique little town with many to see including wildlife.

Nice unique little town with many to see including wildlife. The people of Kusatsu are very friendly and helpful. Recommend to bring a face mask/cover in case the smell from the water is too strong when visiting the Yubatake. Good for 2D1N trip.

Nice, comfy and quite big rooms. Relaxing spring-fed bath on the bottom floor, same as the Yubatake according to certification. It's a small hotel which meant it was quiet, the bath was usually free and the staff was personal. The location is great, just outside the main square but extremely central (couple of hundred meters). There is a shop on the bottom floor and a nice restaurant next door, sharing staff with the hotel.

Good location, great staff, good buffet options. Good onsen selection. 5 min walk to Yubatake area. There are lots of food options in the area. Staff were very communicative, giving us fair warning on hotel renovations.

For a 6-bed dorm, this is a very nice hostel and a great value. The walking distance to Yubatake is only around 6 mins. There is a great kitchen to do cooking and there is a supermarket across the street.

Hotel location is great, only 50 meter to Yubatake. The staffs are very well service even they speak only Japanese. The room and facility is excellent. Parking lot is OK.

Amazing stay. We enjoy our stay very much. Great hospitality, polite and helpful staffs, amazing view from our room and outside, good location. The has shuttle bus for guests who are going to Yubatake or the central. We had a huge room. Japanese combine with western. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

Loved this little hotel! A nice affordable option in Kusatsu. It’s a bit of a walk (15 minutes) outside of the town center, so it’s nice and quiet and away from the strong sulphur smell from the Yubatake. There is a shuttle to town if needed, but the walk is nice and safe. Onsen facility in the hotel was clean, with an indoor and outdoor bath. Staff were very friendly and communicated well even though they don’t speak English and my Japanese is not very strong. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Extremely traditional Japanese apartment located just right outside Yubatake. Immersive experience, extremely lovely owner, amenities such as a washer, heating, bath, kitchen etc., with a conbini and supermarket (relatively) close by, all easily accessible by walking or car (parking is sometimes a rarity however).

Their onsen polls were amongst the best I've experienced in Japan. Atmosphere of the hotel was cordial and relaxed. Shutter bus services to Kasutsu station and/or Yubatake were frequent and efficient.

Nice small hotel near eveything .spacious room for japan. 5min from bus station, 5 min to go tu yubatake ans Others onsen. They provide yukata for you to wear outsider ans towels for onsen. The hotel dont have an onsen but strolling around town to go to à onsen is part of this town..
