The hotel is great for it’s location and facilities.Most important is that the staffs are very friendly and helpful, one of them helped us call a taxi at 3am which really solved our problem.

Amazing hotel in the Japanese traditional style, where you are supposed to walk bare foot all over the place. Lovely onsens, both private and public, are avaliable without reservation, you can wear traditional and cosy japanese-style bathrobes and try free of charge evening's soup and icecreams. The staff is always ready to help and polite. We felt a taste of Japan there, even if we were just to stay in the hotel and not to see the cultural heritage of Kyoto! Highly recommended place!

My parents both loved the hotel, and said they would stay here again when they visit Kyoto! Hotel facilities were outstanding, and the hotel is right beside a JR station that takes you directly to Kyoto station (just one stop away). Overall pretty centrally located, but a bit far if you mostly want to be in the Higashiyama/Gion area.

The afternoon coffee and evening get together with some drinks and snacks was great relaxation after hard walking day. The 7 different sake brands to taste were fun to try different evenings. Staff was helpful and cheerful, our best greetings for the friendly lady who had been in Finland and who's friend was married to a Finn ;-)

    Very nicely located right next to the Kyoto Railway Museum and Kyoto Aquarium. There is a JR train station and bus stops nearby. Also the convenience of having a Family Mart attached to the hotel. All amenities provided plus the use of their private bath was very much welcome after a long day out and about.
