Convenient location, it is about 5-10 minute walk from the train station and 15-20 minutes to the castle. The room I stayed was quite roomy, clean and comfortable. A top-floor onsen offers the mountain view for both indoor and outdoor baths. Buffet breakfast comes with variety of choices and tasty. Ice cream, yogurt drink, and evening Soba noodle, after taking onsen, are nice treats, worth a try. Staff are very attentive and helpful.

Takai the owner was sooooo helpful, it made all the difference to my stay in Matsumoto. I loved the book he made describing the different restaurants and what their specialities were. So much love and hard work have gone into making this place special. Takai was patient and answered all of my questions and went out of his way to help me. I am very grateful for his kindness and consideration. Lots of eating and drinking places are only a few minutes away as is the castle. It's also only about 15 minutes walk from the station so even with a suitcase I could walk here.

The offer of toiletries to take to the onsen, bikes to cycle round the city and free washing facilities made it such an easy place to stay without hidden extra costs. The kitchen was well kitted out. Staff and other travellers very friendly.

Really good hotel! The location was perfect, only a minute away from both the train station and the special bus terminal. Room was good. Staff was really nice and helpful with any concern I had! Really nice facilities as well.

    location is teh best . 250 m. from Matsumoto station. Elevator is available for big luggage at the station. Room is quite large enough space for 2 people with 2 big luggage. All staffs are very helpful . definitely recommendding this hotel .

    Hotel is very well located right beside Matsumoto station with super market, shopping mall and lots of restaurants around it. The staffs are accommodating to allow luggage storage for 3 days while i do a side hiking trip at Kamikochi (Request was asked in advance). The breakfast provided was simple and nice.

    Location is convenient. It is a short walk from the Matsumoto Station and from food outlets. There’s a family mart right across the road. The hotel has onsen on the 9th floor. You get free ice cream there. Use of laundry machines, located in both the male & female onsen is FOC. Dryer is ¥100 per half hour. You can monitor the use of these machines on your phone! There is also welcome drinks, good morning drinks, etc. Also, there is free soba for supper between 9:30pm to 11pm. Parking is convenient too.

    This hotel exceeded our expectations. Looks brand new, super clean, friendly staff, beautiful rooms. It feels like a Japanese inn but super comfortable as a hotel. Onsen is very nice, unfortunately because of the screens there is no view of the beautiful mountains from the bath. Close to Matsumoto station and downtown.

    The star of the show really is the breakfast. The wonderful staff in the kitchen work really hard to bang out a wonderful buffet which gave me an opportunity to sample lots of different Japanese cooking. Hotel is very close to Matsumoto station. The room had a washing machine which was really handy. Didn't try the big bath as it seemed to be continuously busy.

    4-star upscale hotel not far from Matsumoto station. Easy walk to Matsumoto Castle as well as Nawate and Nakamachi shopping streets. Superb breakfast but with limited options for vegans / vegetarians; Japan is generally not a friendly place for them.

    Great location, about 5 minutes walk away from Matsumoto Station. Lots of convenience stores and food shops nearby so it's easy to find food just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Free breakfast is convenient and even though choices are not expansive, they taste great and is enough to get you started for the day. There is video on demand service available in the room that you can purchase via the front desk, or paid through your smartphone using one of Japan's QR code payments (i.e. LINE Pay, etc.).

    This is a very cosy small hostel located 20 min walk and 10 min bus ride from Matsumoto station. Matsumoto castle is a 5-10 min walk and there are many restaurants in the area. It is especially suitable for people who like to cook themselves. The kitchen is very clean and well-stocked with even a little toaster oven. The staff is super friendly and helped us call car rentals and restaurants when not speaking Japanese was an issue
