This was a beautiful resort hotel. You have to swap out your shoes for their slippers at the entrance, which made you feel like you're entering a retreat. There was a huge fireplace in the lobby, which you sit around with their selection of fancy teas in cute little cups. The meals included were delicious. Each room is assigned a little partitioned corner of the restaurant, and a server comes in to serve your courses and explain each dish. Would return in different seasons just to try a different menu. The room was spacious and comfortable. The toilet was very nice, and they even provide skincare like toner and moisturiser, which was a pleasant surprise.

This home has everything you need for a luxurious stay. It’s got such a beautiful feel from early on in the morning when you feel the crisp air. We particularly loved the private hot spring, and most of all, the host was obliging, hospitable and wonderful to engage with. We had such an incredible time in the little town of Azumino, which had so much to do! The town has many fruit farms and rice paddies and is just a beautiful countryside escape. We really felt such a great sense of community in this town and met such lovely people. Make sure logistics are well organized - we had to take a train and then rent a car to get here, but it was totally worth it. The drive itself was a treat with autumn foliage throughout the mountains. If in doubt, just do it. Especially if you’d like to get away from very packed touristy spots in major cities.

The house was amazing! Obviously, the most fun feature is the huge bathtub in which the hot water is geothermal. But you can tell that every detail of the house has been thought of. What is more, the manager was the kindest and friendliest manager I have ever met, constantly going out of his way to make our stay more comfortable and make sure everything is okay.

A perfect villa, it has everything you need. The location is inside the forest. There are 3 more villas in the complex nearby. The place is designed in a stunning way, there is even free Netflix and you can also watch it in Hebrew. There is a private onsen with spring water and complete privacy. The town with its shops and restaurants is a 20-minute drive away. You can buy meat in the town and make a barbecue in the villa, we received a complete barbecue kit including coals. There is even underfloor heating. Hiroki Imai welcomed us with a lot of kindness and professionalism, you can contact him on WhatsApp before arrival and during your stay.
