Location! Location! Location! Easy underground access and connections to and from major Kyoto subway lines was as the japanese waould say is 'Saiko!' You are jam smack in the middle of everything especially the major japanese shopping malls to the very center of the major attractions that the culture rich city of Kyoto has to offer. Staying for four nights was not enough to be honest. Would definitely come back

We’ve travelled Japan for 3 weeks, staying in a total of 5 different hotels. Miru Kyoto Nishiki by far was the best out of all of them. In terms of location, price to quality, cleanliness but also hospitality. This was the only hotel where the personnel was genuinely interested in us. They asked us about our expierences and we even showed some pictures. It all felt very sincere and authentic. The rooms are spacious, clean and decorated elegantly. The croissant service is cute and tasty. They really thought of so much others don’t. There was amongst other things a nespresso machine, plates and cutlery and even an European plug. We would definitely book again if we ever were to visit Kyoto again. Keep up the good work guys!

Fantastic. It was my first time at Hotel Rings and it was perfect. Walking into the foyer during the Christmas season was like coming home. The trademark sage (or was it cedarwood?) scent hung in the air and the cosiness of the place (from cute Christmas decor and ornaments to the paintings) was like a warm embrace. Annexed to the foyer was an equally charming cafe (loved their green tea latte; sadly I didn't have time to try their food which looked lovely as well). A welcome matcha drink along with delish snacks was offered in the lounge (guests were also welcome to have tea in the stylish space and have other snacks while reflecting or reading one of the books from the cute mini library). I had a very pleasant and memorable stay in this hotel as a solo traveller. My room was also very stylish without being over the top. Everything in the room was well-considered. It was spacious and equipped with modern amenities. Loved the rain shower as well. Overall, I think Hotel Rings is the perfect base at vibrant Nakagyo Ward :) The price point was also quite reasonable. I will be back one day :)

Good location 15 minutes walk to Takeshimaya n Nishiki market.. Family mart literally next door and Lawson Abt two minutes walk. Nice room size and most important washer AND Dryer. Well equipped kitchenette. Definitely will recommend for travellers with family. Lots of eating places around the hotel too. Will definitely b back if ever in Kyoto again.

Friendly staff and a convenient location just a 5-minute walk from the station. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. The hotel also offers a small gym, a Japanese-style spa (nude, with separate areas for men and women), and a sauna. It’s about a 30-minute walk to Nishiki Market.

Fantastic location - we walked to the river, Kiyomizudera, Gion, Nishiki market area etc. Close to trains to further away sights too. Room was spacious by Japanese hotel standards with the couch area. Convenience store and supermarket super close. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Can do laundry for 300 yen in lobby. A great spot!

The location is amazing, close to restaurants and convenience stores, minutes walk to Nishiki market and the main shopping street in Kyoto. Close to the castle and multiple bus and train lines. The hotel is a little dated but the rooms are huge, beds are really comfortable, the rooms are clean and well furnished and the staff are amazing. The service was incredibly superior to any other hotel we have stayed in at this price point.

Lovely Japanese style apartment with tatami and futon beds for our boys and western beds for hubby and I. Short walk from the station and to Nishiki market. Modern, lovely, clean and tidy. Friendly English speaking staff. Early check-in was amazing after a big morning. Washing machine was great and kitchenette a good size. Room was very comfortable.

Fantastic stay here at Maja Hotel!! They just renovated the entire place and everything is spotless. You get luxury hostel vibes at a really great price and the location is fantastic, 5 minutes walk from Nishiki Market. Really recommend staying here during your Kyoto trip!
