Probably the best palace in Seoul, undergoing a long process of restoration and reconstruction. Entrance is cheap, and free if you wear a hanbok (traditional Korean clothing, that can be rented all around the area). Once a month there is a special night opening, with all the palaces lit up

Billions of visitors wearing tacky costumes (It is free some day or some time for people wearing hanbok, which is normally so beautiful). Should come back when it is -20 degrees C so it might be less crowded. Did it with a guide, Joy, who was nice and informative.

Fabulous - recommend you get there by 9am. Free to get in for over 65's but cheap anyway. Changing of the guard at 10am but you can easily walk around the grounds of the Palace on your own before then.

Large place but take up the opportunity to hire the Korean clothing - Hanbok. I did it at another location and just loved walking around in it. Free entry to the palaces if you do wear it. Much cheaper to hire outside of the palaces, especially at the Bukchon Hanok Village. Locals were coming up to us, to help me rety the ribbons etc, so it was very nice.

Loved the location, how comfortable the room is and clean. The view from the room was outstanding, you could see gyeongbokgung palace from a distance, and my most favourite feature was a high quality cot was made available for our daughter.

A small but cosy apartment well located in a quiet area a 10 minute walk from a metro station, and a 15 minute walk from Gyeongbokgung palace. It was clean, the bed was comfy, the air conditioning was effective and overall it was very good value for money. It was easy to find and to check in, and the host was friendly and responsive.

The hostel is located in a very good position for first timers in the city: close to the main palaces and major tourist attractions, such as the hanok village, the Gyeongbokgung Palace, the Gwangjang market. It is very accessible and offers a convenient check-in and entry procedure with a code. It also provides good privacy: During my stay, the public spaces were very quiet and the other guests have been respectful.

The location was amazing, in the middle of traditional Korean houses and very close to Gyeongbokgung Palace. It had a nice courtyard and the owner was very helpful and communicative.
