I’ve stayed in many beautiful hotels in my life - I LOVE beautiful hotels and want to try the best hotels around the world as I’m a very frequent traveller. I can honestly say that this hotel is OUTSTANDING - the service is incredible!! I was upgraded and given a complimentary late check out! This is incredible and I’m so grateful!!! The room is ABSOLUTELY stunning - everything is SO COMFORTABLE! It’s perfect and waking up to the most beautiful ocean views is wonderful 🌺🌸🌼 I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Colombo! Don’t stay anywhere else!! We had the pleasure of staying at Taprobane House Hotel for 26 days, and it truly felt like a second home. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and care. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The hotel itself is peaceful, clean, and beautifully maintained — a perfect place to relax and unwind. The rooms are comfortable, the garden is lovely, and the atmosphere is calm and serene. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and we appreciated the genuine hospitality throughout our stay. Special thanks to Rashmi and the entire team for making our time in Sri Lanka so memorable. We left with full hearts and hope to return one day. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tranquil and authentic experience.

    It's FINALLY started to have a full refurbishment as the...

    It's FINALLY started to have a full refurbishment as the decor is so dated....the same decor I remember under 10 and I'm now decades older! Location is however ideal and excellent. Best and most useful shops are Bata, Cargill Food City and the lower ground restaurant area which is actually very good value generally for the good quality food served (though I didn't like being charged to use the toilets or to wash my hands!)
