Location is very good - close to Queen Street, harbor, 2 steps away from the SkyTower. You have shops, restaurants and supermarkets within a short walk distance. Rooms are very spacious and well equipped. We especially appreciated the dishwasher and washing machine and dryer. Very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed with them for 1-2 nights 3 times within a 3 weeks timeframe. They agreed to deposit some of our luggage in between the stays - it was really really appreciated as it made our life lots easier touring New Zealand.

    This was the one place we visited in Auckland that both...

    This was the one place we visited in Auckland that both parents and our teens just loved. Go as early as possible to get easy, free parking and avoid the cues and crowds. Allow plenty of time - we spent 3 hours and that felt like time well spent - to stand and watch the beautiful sea creatures.

    Update your online presence to indicate that you will not be open when a marathon or any other annual event is taking place. Non-locals are not aware of such events that disrupt your schedule. Showed up on a day you were supposed to be open. No apology notice of any kind, just a locked door. Poor management!

    If you are keen to see the fish and penguins then plan on getting to Kelly Tarlton's soon after opening if you are taking your own car as it is a popular attraction and the park fills up quickly. My kids loved it.
