Flora Glamping de Abuela was an amazing experience! It's a local family owned business. We stayed there for 4 nights, and even before we got there we contacted the host: Evi, who helped us a lot with planning our stay at La Fortuna and book some attractions. The place has an amazing location! Just outside the city but 5 minutes drive so you can enjoy the quiet and the perfect view of the Arenal volcano and still feel close to the city. Evi was available for us at all times with every question or help we needed. The room was spacious and clean but take into account that the toilet and shower are in the same space as the rest of the room. However with only 2 glamping tents you can really feel the privacy. The shared kitchen was well equipped with all the things we needed, and was designed optimistically.

Very private and safe cabin with stunning volcano views. The cabin is well equipped with everything you would need for meals. The benches outside are so cute and perfect to sit down and watch all the beautiful birds that come by. It was one of our favourite stays of the trip?

Stunning jungle setting full of plants and wildlife - we lost track of how many bird species we saw here. Lovely refreshing pool that was very underused. Very friendly and helpful staff and delicious (hearty) breakfast. We loved the out-of-town location and saw toucans when walking to the hotel. We found a brilliant cafe/restaurant (El Chante Verde) just one mile away so we didn’t need to go into La Fortuna.

This place was so amazing. Super friendly staff that really takes care of their place. The location was wonderfull, surrounded by nature and with many animals to see. Room was very clean, comfortable bed en good shower/bath.

Very nice place to stay with very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed for 3 nights and did some excursions around the La Fortuna area - the hotel offers a lot of good tours with different packages for a reasonable price, however we have booked ours online because the only way to pay was by cash which we didn't have. There are few grocery stores about 5 - 15 minutes by walking from the hotel and you can buy everything you need for cooking in all of them. The kitchen was very clean and comfortable to cook in, also with a big fridge with lot of space. The area is very calm and quiet, with many birds and animals around. The walking distance between the hotel and the downtown is about 20 - 30 minutes, but there are some restaurants closer to the place about 10 minutes by walk. We recommend to try the Spectalocar restaurant and Chocolate Fusión café in the downtown. We really enjoyed these two but of course there are many good places to eat in La Fortuna. We really liked our stay and we would definitely come back again.
