This is an absolute gem of a find. It's in a centre which has a pool, big slide, bar, restaurant, a lake you can swim in and loads for the kids to do. The host is sub-letting a very clean and beautiful lodge on-site. Super friendly host (well, this was the sister of the host who we met and she was lovely) who left is a free bottle of wine, apples, and some waffles for breakfast. There even an awesome BBQ and they can supply charcoal. Honestly, I can't recommend this enough.

Capital Street Lodge is located close to several restaurants and grocery stores. The actual apartment is quite beautiful and spacious and oversees a courtyard with a few art galleries on the other side of the building. The kitchen had most of the amenities necessary (stove, fridge, coffee machine, kettle and utensils). It's about 8-10 minutes by bike to Antwerp Central or 20-25 minutes by walk (one-way)

Very nice quiet location, but easily accessible by road . Absolutely immaculate inside in all areas . Every staff member helpful, polite , very welcoming. Really can’t rate this hotel highly enough. Very very impressed. The young lad at the reception and also in the restaurant was just so customer focused. I did many hotels on this trip away but Flanders Lodge Hotel was by far the best . We had a special meeting at the "Plantentuin Meise", which is a famous location in itself, for a guided tour through the normally closed facilities. It was wonderful to have a lodge at walking distance to the site, so we were there in time and without the urge to travel hence and forth.

There was not much to like. I didn't stay there because the hotel sent me a message that unfortunately they made a mistake and my reservation would be cancelled. So I booked another hotel. They cancelled the room but charged me anyway and did not reply to my messages until I told them I would lodge a complaint with the police. "The refund has been done", they wrote to me. Which so far (3 days later) is not the case.
