I love trees and my husband loves the sea so we had the absolute best of both. Being able to sit on our verandah and look through the pretty grounds and see the sea was the absolute best 😍 Also being able to watch the kite surfing was fab. We hadn't realised that the rooms were canvas, wooden lodges until we arrived as some of the pics on Booking.com showed studios as well so this was our mistake, but we were very happy and the feel was very surf and beachy and everything was clean and nicely styled. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the shower was a rainfall shower and had really good water pressure. The staff were so lovely, helpful and chatty and helped with any request. Breakfast was served in the pretty open breakfast area and was fresh and delicious with continental buffett and bacon and eggs on request.

The beds were so comfortable, and every morning we enjoyed the peace of the beautiful garden with its breathtaking view of the mountains. What really made our stay special were the wonderful owners — so welcoming and attentive. We were greeted with fresh fruits and homemade olive oil, and Maria even treated us to her delicious homemade pastries, which felt like a gift from the heart. The location is perfect for exploring the many beaches nearby, as well as Rethymno and Chania. We felt at home here from the very first moment, and we would love to return again. We can’t recommend this place enough!

The apartment was beautiful, clean and better than the pictures. We enjoyed the private jacuzzi, it was perfect. And the breakfast delivered to your door was also great! I recommend!

Marcos and his family are wonderful people – always smiling, helpful, and speaking several languages including English and French. The breakfast with local specialties was delicious. The hotel has a perfect location to explore central Crete, with amazing views of the sea and olive groves – especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset. Very peaceful, ideal for total relaxation. Nearby there is a great taverna with breathtaking views, and also an olive oil factory with a museum where you can learn about the production process. Highly recommended!

I haven't slept as well as I did in this cave in years. Everything was spotless, and the bed was comfortable. The exceptional host provided instructions on my arrival about using the fan to make my stay as pleasant as possible. He was very caring, asking how I was and if I needed anything. He reacted immediately when I needed his help early in the morning, and was there within a few minutes. Great location, the city center is only a 15-minute walk, and a 4-minute walk is the Kafeneio Reisis, where the tasty, flavorful, delectable, heavenly food is.

Our hosts were absolutely wonderful—warm, respectful, and full of great recommendations. The veranda was just as stunning as the photos promised (if not more!), but the real star was the garden. Bursting with vibrant flowers, fragrant herbs, and even fruit trees, it felt like wandering through a hidden Eden. And at night? Pure magic. The sky was a glittering canvas of stars, with shooting stars streaking across every few minutes (yes, we counted—along with a few satellites for fun!). Please have breakfast on the veranda! The hosts prepare everything fresh—local bread, jams, yogurt, and more—making it the perfect way to start the day in paradise. If you're looking for a peaceful escape from city life, Xerolithos is the place. Set in Episkopí- Rethimno, Mikro Livadi Special Lodges - Has an Eco Salt water pool - 150m from the beach offers a garden and sun terrace. Chania Town is 34 km away. This was such a lovely, peaceful location! The rooms were very clean and well equipped for any needs during our families stay. It is a family owned business and they went above and beyond to take care of us. They were so friendly and warm and made it feel like a home away from home. The food was really from farm to table and it was very delicious! We would heavily recommend to any thinking of visiting.
