New Year at Forest Edge Lodge was an absolute delight! The hosts were incredibly gracious and warm, welcoming us with open arms. Staying at the lodge was just what we needed. It's tucked away, giving a sense of escape without being too isolated. The atmosphere was homely and the hosts, incredibly welcoming. Looking forward to our next visit to this charming spot.

A beautiful room in an old wooden house. There is a fridge and a tea kettle, but no kitchen (I didn't need any). Parking in the yard. The location is not very central, but it's 10 minutes on foot to the nicest part of Riga with good restaurants etc.; the Old Town is a bit further away. Dace is a very nice host, she greeted me in person on arrival and quiclky showed around. In sum, the place is perfect for a short stay, or for a longer one if you are fine with a short commute and plan to eat mostly out.

Thanks to Gary and Elena for a great stay. The lodge was perfect and it’s very clear they put a lot of effort into making our stay as pleasant as possible. The lodge has everything you could possibly need, is very spacious, clean and comfortable. We especially liked the well-appointed kitchen and the wood burning stove. Location is good for both Riga and Jūrmala - we used Bolt but you could easily drive or get a bus. Overall, for the price and compared to other nearby properties, we think this was good value.
