We liked everything, from incredible location with absolutely unbelievable views and amazing, responsive hosts, to top quality, comfortable and spacious cabin with floor-to-ceiling windows and ready-to-use hot tub and spa with perfect surroundings.

The location and it’s view, the cabin and it’s equipment,… Everything was spot on. We needed some help and Sarah, our point of contact, did an awesome job at solving our little problem. With sea views, Norwegian Wild is situated in Vangsvik and has a restaurant, a shared kitchen, bar, garden, terrace and children's playground. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. We truly can't recommend Norwegian Wild enough. When we first booked our trip, we were torn between staying in the North part of the island, where the scenic route is, but after talking to Hege we were fully convinced to stay in Norwegian Wild and experience nature at its fullest. Everything about this place is just magical! We saw the northern lights multiple nights in a row, from the comfort of our cabin, and it was stunning. When it snowed, we felt like we were inside a snow globe! We loved loved loved our cabin, and also really enjoyed the jacuzzi. We had delicious breakfasts and dinners at the restaurant, the reindeer stew was 10/10! The staff was so friendly and helpful, we got to play with the husky from one of the girls working at the restaurant and it was super nice. We went kayaking with Tim, we went snowshoeing in the Ånderdalen National Park, we went sledding with Senja Husky - we did lots of very nice activities. What a wonderful , unforgettable trip! Thank you Hege, Tim and the Norwegian Wild crew for making it even more special!

Rarely you can go to a sauna with such incredible scenery from the sauna benches :)

Guests at Bjørnfjell Mountain Lodge can enjoy a buffet breakfast. Stayed one night in room with window seat. Good sized room very nicely appointed - encouraged to use slippers inside on arrival which adds to cosy nature of property. Service was excellent, as was breakfast and dinner. Complimentary tea/coffee available all day. Good spot for hiking and northern lights (if weather permits). Must be fantastic in winter.

Staying at Holmen Husky is an experience far away from staying at an ordinary hotel. We want our guests to get closer to nature and to get a taste of what it is like to live close to the elements.

Holmen Husky is a small, family-run business who has been working with dogs since the 80s. Some of us have even grown up in the dogyard and on the sled. It is much more than an activity or an experience that has got us all addicted. it’s a feeling that must be experienced. Holmen Husky was the highlight of our month long trip. From sleeping in lavu to the food to the wonderful dogs that wait for you to walk past and rub their tummies. The staff are exceptional with a special shout out to Tess who fit us in for the amazing husky sledding and Wico for his amazing food. I cannot recommend this place enough. We even watched the Aurora from our bed! A great place for kids too....

10 km from Alta City and 500 metres from Alta River lies Trasti & Trine Boutique Hotel. Surrounded by forest, the location offers good hiking, skiing and biking trails straight from the cottage door. There is both free WiFi and free on-site parking. Beautiful setting. Lived the separate little buildings and the small house we were in had amazing architectural/design elements
