The owners, Walter and Pepita, and all their staff are so lovely, helpful, and their food is delicious. Also, there are alpacas, sheep and puppies on the property that are friendly. The view from the rooms and the restaurant are incredible and it's right next to the Condor Cross viewpoint. You can see as many condors here as at the viewpoint, but could also walk or drive to the viewpoint to get a closer look. And most importantly - the owners were so helpful and kind; anything you needed they found a way. We watched as they pointed out condors, fixed one guest's broken trekking backpack, and when we had car issues he coordinated someone nearby to help.

Surrounded by greenery and hills at the bottom of the Sangelle Valley and offering an outdoor pool and free breakfast, Oasis Paraiso Ecolodge is located in Cabanaconde. Cabanaconde can be reached in 3 hours, by foot, horse or mule only. Very open and clean! The pool was really nice if you dare to jump in that is 🥶. The receptionist, Pablo, is super friendly and a great time to hang out with while watching football! The beds were really comfy and cozy with thick blankets to keep you warm at night.

Llahuar Lodge is located along the trekking circuit of the Colca Canyon in Arequipa, approximately a 5-hour walk from the town of Cabanaconde, right at the union of the Colca and Huaruro rivers.

This family-run lodge is known as the first and only property in the area featuring five fully natural hot spring pools, which emerge directly from the mountain and reach temperatures of up to 40 °C. The pools are set along the riverside and are strictly for the exclusive use of registered guests. The lodge is well-regarded for offering an authentic and natural experience in a truly unique setting. LLahaur Lodge is very nice facillity situated close to the river. You are accommodated in the simply wooden huts, but there is really warm, no need to have a sleeping bag. We were suprised by large pancakes for the breakfast, it was nice. But the best of this place are three pools with thermal watter ca 38C. It is amazing enjoyment mainly after 6 hours descent from Cabanaconde.
