The Lodge is situated far away from the city, right at the shore of the Sambesi River. Extremely quiet and peaceful at night with a million stars above. But be careful: The hippos come out of the river at night and you better stay inside of your chalet. We were instructed that this would happen and at night they accompanied us from dinner to our chalets. Super friendly staff organized a tour to the Victoria falls and through the city of Livingstone.

I had a great stay at this lodge in Livingstone. I arrived later than expected after taking the bus from Lusaka, but the owner was very flexible with my arrival time, which I really appreciated. Even though it was already dark, the lodge was easy to find thanks to the clear signage at the entrance. The property is peaceful and surrounded by lush plants, which made it feel like a little oasis. At night, I could hear the crickets and absolutely no other noise—it was wonderfully quiet. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with both a fan and air conditioning, plus a mosquito net over the bed (though I didn’t see any mosquitos in the room). I didn’t end up using the air conditioning because the windows were screened from the outside and couldn’t be closed from the inside, but with the fan on and the mild May weather, the room stayed very comfortable at night. The price was extremely reasonable for what you get. I also appreciated having an electric kettle and mini fridge in the room—small touches that made my stay even more convenient. One thing to note: the WiFi signal in my room was not very strong, and I also had weak MTN cell service in that area. I was able to send messages without issue, but video calls were difficult from the room. While the lodge is a bit outside of town, it was easy to get around using Yango, and they also offer a private car service if you need help getting into town. The staff were polite and quick to respond to anything I needed. One small tip: bring small bills, as they may not always have change for larger cash payments. Overall, I would definitely stay here again—especially if you're looking for a quiet and relaxing place to stay while visiting Livingstone.
